Thank you for reporting! Public Works has an illegal dumping team whose sole job is to respond to illegal dumping reports throughout the City. On average this team removes 1,200 pounds of trash from public property every day. We strive to respond to all reports in a timely fashion. If you see someone dumping illegally please report the incident to the Vallejo Police Department.

I reported this earlier today and the pile of garbage has grown since this reporters picture was taken. I've attached the picture that I took today

Pile growing through the day. Just suppose a PD patrol pulled up beside the house and explained they were breaking the law: "clean it up or else...". Too bad the PD is all too busy. Why then why not someone from the FD... that would count as a fire prevention duty, and not much of detour on their way to the Safeway.

Thanks to this app! Left to get groceries when I posted and came home to a clean corner. Pick up crew was finishing up when I parked. Fast response!

So, what have we learned here: Put some trash out on your sidewalk. Put out some more. Keep it growing, and... some nice folks from the city will come and haul it away, free. No worries about being cited, fined, or even being made to pay for removal. Lesson learned!
