Thanks for reporting this issue to the Town. In the future, please report traffic concerns to us by calling our Traffic Safety team at (919) 319-4521 or emailing us at feedback@townofcary.org.
Honestly, I can tell you with a forum name like you have choose, I wouldn't give you the time of day, or take any of your reports seriously. The Town of Cary, and it's employees do a spectacular job of taking care of our communities, and clearly you are not aware of that.
Yeah? Well there's some thing you're clearly not aware of too. If everything is unicorns and rainbows, then why are the trucks still there? I don't care what they think of me. I just want them to do the job we pay them to do...
Please keep this discussion civil. Insulting, defamatory, or overly-negative language may result in the entire issue being removed--which won't help anything get solved.
Thanks yoder. CPD is keeping a watch on this issue but trucks tend to move around and it can be difficult to locate them and address the issue. If it's still going on, we do ask folks to call our Traffic Safety team at (919) 319-4521.
These trucks have parked there every night for years despite numerous complaints. They are within a few inches of blocking the cul de sac from emergency vehicles.0
One thing to clarify is that some commercial vehicles may park overnight on residential streets. It's oversized vehicles - 80 inches or more in width, 30 feet or more in length - and trailers that are prohibited. That said, CPD has cited some trucks at this location in the past and found an illegally parked unattached trailer at this location last night. We're getting in touch with the owner to have it moved.
