Every day I've been on the trail for the last 3 weeks (9 days) I've seen people riding dirt bike's. White kid getting on at Quinnipiac one time, same kid down near the old bridge that just got painted with the had the Lemur on it, and then today at the top of the hill near Bruger's a different white kid with a girl passenger.

With Hamden High School students crossing traffic continues to make right turn on red, despite pedestrians (students mostly) having the right of way. Cars do not stop. They should stop and do not. I am requesting signage that would inform the drivers: "No Turn-on Red while Pedestrians in Cross Walk" , better lighting to illuminate the cross-walks as this situation gets more tenuous in the winter (late sunrise, early sunset), post a State Police Officer up the ramp to ticket cars that break the laws regarding Pedestrians, and Stopping before turn on red. I can guarantee you that there will be a pedestrian accident. It's just a matter of time. I just pray that we act before we read of a tragic injury or death...especially if it is a young person(student). Thank you. I look forward to responsible action.
