As I've said so often, XYZ, our alderperson, Jill Marks, is totally absent. She replies to NOTHING! She does NOTHING for this community. No amount of calls to her is going to make any difference.

You might want to try reporting this issue to the board of alders utilizing the alder contact form on our city's website. I'm not referring to the ward 28 email address. I'm referring to the contact form at https://www.newhavenct.gov/gov/depts/alders/contact.htm

It is monitored by administrative staff, so someone other than Jill Marks will definitely see the issue.

Thanks, Tommy. I'll try that. XYZ-FYI: I wrote a letter to the mayor several weeks ago about this specific issue and the wider issue of the breakdown of respect for traffic laws and the danger on our streets. I have not seen a response, but maybe....

Hi Flowerchild, as stated previously a request like this would best be addressed with the local alder, community management team, and a complete streets request. This category is used to generate work orders for the maintenance of our current traffic signal infrastructure so I'm going to recategorize this request to post to neighbors to continue the constructive dialogue regarding your ideas. I wrote this comment almost three years ago. I wrote to three successive alderpersons, two successive mayors, three successive chiefs of police. I posted similar pleas several times here on SeeClickFix. Nothing is ever done, no one ever replies, and I get a message saying that there is no category for this type of complaint so it doesn't go anywhere. Now a child has been hit and is seriously injured. Still, no one in the city government seems to care.
