I would strongly suggest that you contact the Mayor and City Council member and ask them how they are assisting with the homeless situation within our city.

The reported encampment is on City property, and recent federal court cases have restricted removal of homeless encampments on public property. In Martin v. City of Boise, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals issued a unanimous decision, finding that the City of Boise’s prohibition against sleeping in public violates the Eighth Amendment’s prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment when no alternative shelter is available. Thus, cities cannot enforce camping/lodging prohibitions if their local homeless population faces inadequate shelter space. However, the City will continue to monitor the location and assist with clean-ups when appropriate.

This permissiveness is for sure not going anywhere positive. The site requires some clean ups already as more of them are piled up each time (my route to work everyday and back). There should be a more appropriate place than that plain of a site by a main through street. Let us work harder.

It has been a more unwelcoming site with everyday drive. Especially after my busy and hard day at work. There should a more proper allocation for such.

Truthfully has become a sad harrowing site on your daily drive to work hard and back. The new CA homeless law just doesn't make sense.

This site has been cleared up but the ones that are in our neighborhoods have not. The amount of garbage and hazardous waste these people are leaving in our neighborhoods and near 2 schools and the skate park is sickening. They also have fires at night which as we have all seen on the news can be disastrous. Please clear them from our neighborhoods.

The camp is hiding into the bushes. Today about 6 multi store carts left on the side streets which can be a hazard

The person squatting there evidently has a car parked by the Ascot parkway extension near the fire station. These people are able. They just want to play unable, not shy and no care. CA Prop 1 did pass. So whatever happened for their allocations and programs...
