The issue in quotes below was originally posted on 4/10/20 with Issue ID 7653882. The issue was never properly addressed as bicycles, skateboards, foot scooters, motorized scooters, golf carts, and other "wheeled" and mechanical vehicles continue to utilize the walking/jogging trails in the park making it extremely dangerous for people who use the park for its intended use (walking and jogging). Within the past 2 weeks I have personally witnessed people almost hit by golf carts and bicycles, and there are bicycles, scooters and skateboards on the walking/running trails on a daily basis. Can the City please expedite posting signage with the park rules at the various park entry points and in order to prevent further dangerous conditions for park pedestrians? Please don't let Wills Park turn into the same very dangerous environment that the Alpharetta Greenway has evolved into. Thanks in advance.
Original posting follows:
"The point of this request is to request signs to be put up in wills Park that clearly State the rules and specifically point out that no bicycles, scooters or skateboards are allowed in the park. Additional supporting background information follows: First and foremost wills park is an incredible facility. It seems that right before the coronavirus hit that staff were in the middle of changing out signs. Currently there are no signs describing the park rules, and lately the park has been overrun with skateboarders, scooters and bicyclist. I have seen several people almost hit, and I myself have almost been hit at least three times now. I used to walk and run on the big Creek Greenway but I quit going there because I saw several accidents and even saw a lady knocked out one day due to a bicycle speeding. I am also aware that there have actually been at least one death on the greenway due to bicyclist. Thanks in advance for your follow-up on this item."

Golf carts used to be isolated to the equestrian areas during event weekends, however it is surely more common to see carts wandering the paths around the main park these days.
Now that the bridge by the newer playscape on the Wills side has been removed, the carts are often needing to double back down the area of the path that runs the creek.
Just last weekend my dogs and I were moved to the side by a cart up by the wooden playscape on the Old Milton side. Not sure the reasoning to be in that area with a golf cart altogether.
